Over the past few years, we have noticed that there is a huge demand for quality training for the existing hospitality professionals and guides in the tourism & hospitality industry. Although there are some fantastic training providers out there – the majority of their focus seems to be on training new or entry level guides, or hospitality graduates with very little practical experience.
Meanwhile, the Tourism industry is thriving! There are thousands upon thousands of existing guides & hospitality professionals who have ‘been there, done that’ and now want to focus on moving up a level or gaining new skills. Market research attested to this – not only from the individuals’ perspective, but also from the lodge perspective. Let’s face it, the industry is a competitive one and both lodges and individuals need to continually strive to being ‘the best of the best’ to be noticed by either potential employers or potential clients.
So, after years of dreaming, many months of planning and lots of market research – Nightjar Training, Consulting & Guiding was established. With highly experienced and qualified staff in each respective division, our main aim is to service the existing professionals sector of the tourism and hospitality markets.
With the added benefit of the option of discreet on-the-job training, using existing equipment and resources – staff are trained in an environment they are comfortable with, with the tools they have been using all along. Of course, the lodge also doesn’t need to worry about losing a staff member for a few days to training, nor do they need to worry about transportation of staff, accommodation for staff etc. – the job carries on as per usual!
This is what our team is so passionate about! As Brian Tracy said, “The potential of the average person is like a huge ocean unsailed, a new continent unexplored, a world of possibilities waiting to be released and channelled toward some great good.” We aim to unlock that potential.
As of the 1st January 2016, Nightjar Training will be in full swing and we will be taking the Tourism & Hospitality industry by storm!
